Cowhide Cleaning
In this cleaning manual, Viga has prepared for you the ideal way for your carpet to have a long life and to be maintained in the right conditions. Please make sure to do the following in specific cases:
Cleaning with a vacuum cleaner
Include your leather carpet as part of your regular cleaning routine, just like usual carpets. Wiping it regularly helps keep it clean as well as preventing the accumulation of dirt or stains. Cleaning with a vacuum cleaner or hand broom should be done in the direction of the hairs.
You can shake the leather carpet.
A good idea is to take the carpet outside to shake it from time to time. Shaking is a simple method for removing dust and fine impurities. Try to avoid whipping it to clean it
Change the place or position.
Change the place or rotate it to the place where you have positioned it. This helps the carpet not be subject to gradual wear and tear over time. Once in a while, remember to rotate the mat in different positions.
Avoid wetting the carpet with water.
Do not wet the cowhide rug. Contact with running water can damage it in the long term. If it gets wet, it should be dried immediately with cloth napkins and left to dry naturally or in the sun (You can use your hair dryer only at room temperature).
Cleaning of solid waste.
If you notice that solid materials have fallen on your carpet and they are difficult to remove, you can use the tip of a knife or a spatula to scrape them from the hairs, helping with a comb/brush only in the direction of the hairs.
Use shampoo to remove stains.
If there is a small stain on your cowhide carpet from the spill, you can use VG Carpet Cleaner shampoo with a well-wrung damp cloth. Water and mild detergent will help remove the stain. Be sure to use as little shampoo solution as possible and add only as needed.
Do not use the washing machine.
Although it may be tempting to think that cleaning will be more accurate in the washing machine, its use will partially or completely damage the carpet. The treatments that have been done to the leather in the work cycle have made it stay as long as possible with natural fibers and with the appearance without external intervention.
Use VG Carpet 3in 1 oil, for difficult stains, for disinfection and aromatization.
Spray the area with VG 3 in 1. The specific solution with mainly oily composition and with the right ingredients to disinfect the surface, is the right formula to break food or fat stains. After you have painted the stained area, leave it for a few seconds to react and then you can finish cleaning the stain, gently cleaning it with a damp cloth. Not only will the stain be removed, but thanks to the formula that VG Carpet 3 in 1 contains, you can spray it all over the surface of your carpet, so your carpet will stay fresh for a long time. Allow the cowhide rug to dry naturally.
